BSMA APPOINTS TIM SALAVER, EVP FOR MEMBER ENGAGEMENT
BSMA has announced the return of Bio Supply Management Alliance’s co-founder, Tim Salaver, in the role of Executive Vice-President, Manufacturing and Academia Member Engagement. Effective December 1, 2017, Tim’s responsibilities will be to develop programs and policies that increase BSMA membership and increase member engagement within the BSMA through development and learning activities and events. He will also be instrumental in the BSMA strategy and leadership.
Devendra Mishra, the Executive Director of BSMA observed, “The vision and passion of Tim to build a community of supply chain professionals will reinforce the management team of BSMA. His understanding of the bio-pharma industry and decades of Information technology experience will strengthen the strategic direction of the Alliance as it focuses on innovation and technology to transform our bio-pharma industry”. Tim Salaver remarked, “I am delighted to further the strategic intent of this one-of-a-kind organization which fosters collaboration in the biotech supply chain from end to end. Our mission to extend our outreach to drug manufacturers and academia will raise the tide that lifts all boats”.

Tim is a leading supply chain management technology consultant in the healthcare industry. His professional development and team-building leadership of a Healthcare ERP project received the VHA Leadership Award for Supply Chain Management Improvement. He is a highly sought speaker at user groups, international conferences, and higher education institutions, giving his remarkable perspective on individual and corporate development. He is member of the International Who’s Who of Information Technology for his innovative work in Enterprise Resource Planning and Project Management.

Tim has more than 35 years experience in Enterprise Technology and Strategic Management. Tim was President of the Golden Gate Chapter of APICS The Association for Operations Management for 10 years where he led the chapter vision and strategy, guided market and member development, and taught the Fundamentals of Materials and Operations Management. He was also a member of the Healthcare Information Management Systems Society (HIMSS) where he was the Supply Chain Management subject matter expert for the Enterprise Information Systems Steering Committee. Tim also developed the Emerging Technologies in Healthcare Information Technology Management course at Golden Gate University.

He holds a B.S. in Information Systems and an MBA from the Golden Gate University Ageno School of Business Executive Program. Tim is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) from the Project Management Institute, Certified Scum Master (CSM) from the Scrum Alliance, a Certified Six Sigma Master Black Belt (CSSMBB) and Certified Project Manager (CProjMgr) from the H. James Harrington Institute.
